Kim Holmberg

I’m a Senior Research Fellow and the Head of Unit at Economic Sociology at the University of Turku, Finland. I’m interested to study various current phenomena on the web in general and in social media in particular, mainly using quantitative methods. More specifically this includes, among other things, scholarly communication in digital environments; applicability of altmetrics for research evaluation and/or as a measure of online attention; bibliometrics, open science, and the academic award system; online (social) networks and dissemination patterns of online information; and various cyberthreats.
